Not only are our teachers equipped with the best qualifications in the industry, but every teacher also completes the rigorous Turtle Tots training programme, delivered by industry leading instructors. Their training ensures that they can deliver our swimming lessons consistently to the highest standards, but also understand more about babies and young children’s developmental stages, how they communicate in the pre-verbal stage, how their early brains develop, the importance of early attachment and how best to support babies’ learning during this critical early stage of life.

They hold or are working towards the STA’s Level 3 baby & Preschool Diploma – expanding their knowledge into child psychology and neuroscience, which has led to changing theories on how young children learn.

But beyond all of this, it’s our teacher’s natural warmth, empathy and dedication that makes us stand head and shoulders above other swim schools. Many of our teachers are also parents and brought their children to Turtle Tots classes when they were little. They understand what it is like to bring your little one into a swimming pool for the first time and understand the feelings of joy, and sometimes anxiety, that come with starting a new activity. They feel what you feel and are ready to adapt to you and your child’s needs at every stage.
